Christmas is a time when we naturally think about the people we love. We gather together, share old traditions, tell stories, look through photographs and remember Christmases gone by. But for those who have lost someone special, it can also be a time when their absence is felt more deeply.

That is why, for many people, Christmas can feel like a time when memories — and the people connected to them — feel particularly close.
